Quick & simple mini-shakerbox card

First of all... thank you so much for all the sweet welcome-back messages... it feels so good to be back and to have found my mojo after such a long time!!!

Just like I told you in my previous post, I've been working on some shaker-box cards lately...such an awesome way to use sequins again!!! I totally forgot how much fun it always was to create these shaker-box cuties!!

I started with this quick & simple mini-shakerbox card, perfect to add to a present or a bouquet of flowers!! I've used some pearly white sequins and some black flower sequins behind the circle...

Behind the shaker-box window I've added a Luxe Designs Rub-On with "Hugs and Kisses" and I added some 3d foam tape (to layer the shaker-box), a Prima flower, some Puffy Paint dots and glitters to finish the card. I hope the sequins are visible behind their little window :-)

Working on some more cuties at the moment.. so I'll be back soon with another update.. I promiss :-)

Knock knock..anybody there? ;-)

Yup... it's been a while (uhmm.. almost 3 years...oops... shame on me ;-)) since I've posted on my blog...buuuut... I'm baaaaaaack!! I hope you still remember me after such a long time... haha!

Still totally addicted to Tulip Puffy Paint, stickpins, flowers, my Orbis Circle Cutter and anything pink and that glitters...guess that'll never change.. haha...so glad I've found my mojo back!

Since it was Mother's day last week.. I decided to create some little cards for my mom and my mother in law... Okay.. it's not really what I had in mind when I started... but I think I'm kinda satisfied with the results ;-)

Here's the 1st one for my mom:

And some more details....worked with some old My Mind's Eye paper scraps here...

For the second one for my mother in law I handcut one large flower which turned out to be the eyecatcher of the card which I started layering with a circle with foam tape behind it...

Yup.. again lots of pink here...and glitters on the borders of the large flower (hmm.. I guess it's not too visible on the picture.too bad :-(). The white dots are made with Puffy Paint (totally addicted..haha)

What are you working on at the moment? I'm working on some shaker-box cards... I totally forgot how much fun this always was about 10 years ago...so glad these are back too!

A little while ago I told you all that I broke the pen of my Orbis Circle Cutter.. I was sooooo sad.. but also extremely happy when Leontine told me she wanted to send me hers!!!! How totally sweet!!!!!!! In the meantime I've received the pen.. and I've been using it over and over again since then!!

Of course I had to create her a little card to say thank you... this little card is on it's way to her right now!!!!!! I hope it will arrive in her mailbox soon! Thank you so much girlie! You soooo made my day!!

I've been playing with some Luxe Designs papers. A biiiiig challenge for me to use only black & white goodies.. I'm again not too happy with the result.. but that's also because I miss some funky bright colors I think.. haha!!!

Dreamstreet Papers Love.....

I finally had some ME time this weekend! YAY!! Some serious scrappy time.. hehe!!

I've been digging up loads and loads of old patterned papers lately.. and I was soooo happy to find these old bright Dreamstreet Papers!!! Always good to keep your scraps in a box and find those hidden treasures once in a while... Love love love these bright colors!!!

Here's a closer look at it.... more glitters, jewels & Puffy paint.. yup.. I admit it: I'm totally addicted.. hahahaha

Sealed with a kiss....

I hope you're all enjoying your week until so far!! My week has been kinda busy... buuuuut I do have a little card to show you today! I've created this one a little while ago.. but I'm not too satisfied with the result... don't know why..

Wanted to post it here anyway.. love the colorcombo.. that's for sure!! I've been playing with some old Scenic Route papers.. just can't get enough of these colorful papers!!!

Oh.. and I've some fun news!! Cardabilities has just announced their new Design Team.. and I'm on it!! I'm so excited!! Twice a month a new sketch will be released. Once you complete the sketch you can upload your card and have an opportunity to win some great prizes. Hooked to stars...

I know I've been ending up using a loooooot of stars lately... I'm definitely hooked to them... I admit.. haha! I'm challenging myself to use other shapes besides circles, flowers and stars.... ;-) Working on it... I promiss ;-)

Soooo here's one more starry card (SORRY!)... with some more old Making Memories scraps.... just can't get enough of these bright papers... they were getting all dusty in my box of scraps.. so I'd better start using these again right? ;-)..

Here's a closer look...as you can see I'm also in love with tiny Prima flowers... ;-)

I'm looking forward to start creating some layouts soon too.. the only thing I need now is: TIME.. haha!!!

Altered letters...

A few years ago I created some fun altered letters for my niece Demi.. she really adores them... Soooo I decided it was time now to create some for her little sister Fay to decorate her bedroom door....

I've found these wooden letters about a year ago.....and they've been laying on my scrappy desk untouched since then....... Last weekend I finally had some time to alter them.. today I added some finishing touches.... and VOILA!!!

I've been using some Deluxe Design patterned papers to match the colors of her bedroom....
 

.... added some embossing dots to the F and Y.. and used my sewing machine without thread for the borders of the A.... some flowers, bling and glitter.......

 

....some mirror hearts and other embellies....

I'm so happy with the result (and I hope Fay will be too.. haha)...

A rainy & stormy weekend means: lots of ME-time!!!! I started off with a little card made out of some Jillybean Soup papers... so much fun!!! I'm happy how this little greenish card turned out ;-)

Decided to use lots of layers of flowers, circles and hearts here (all with 3d foam tape between them to let the different layers 'pop' a little more)

Some Puffy Paint dots, embossing, some floss and a little tag.. and my card was finished ;-)

Oh.. and look what my sweet friend Marinette has posted on her blog.. awwww.. she's such a sweetie... and I'm so honored *blushing*!!!! Love love love all she does also!! Merci, merci, merci Marinette, tu est vraiment trop gentille et tu sais que moi aussi j'adore tes creations hein? bisous!!!!!!

More baby cards!

In the last 2 weeks one of my cousins and another sweet colleague gave birth to a baby boy and a baby girl...  Of course I had to send them both a self made card...  I decided to cardlift myself again just like for the card set I posted a few days ago!!!

Just can't get enough of these fun Upsy Daisy Designs papers!!!! I've been using these papers over and over again.... can't help it.. sorry!! Buuuut.. don't worry.. all leftover pieces are gone now.. haha!!!

Since I didn't have enough space to add the whole names of the babies (Twan & Feline), I added just the initials instead. Totally love this design with stars for baby cards...

Hey..and did you see I've been using brown cardstock instead of white again!! YAY again for little me ;-)

So happy that these papers have 2 sides.. pink and blue! Perfect for baby cards!

Another mini card...

A few weeks ago I told you guys that I'm trying to add some mini cards to my stash (always good to have these @ home to attach to flowers or other presents..)..  When I found a small piece of white cardstock I decided to turn this into another mini card..

Added some REALLY OLD 3 Bugs in a Rug small strips of patterned paper... and some prima flowers..

Some jewels, glitter and embossing polka dots... And voila.. my mini card was finished... Ooooh.. and did you see I've used a stamp here!! Another big YAY for me.. never used a stamp before on my creations.. I've always been affraid to ruine something so I've been using rub ons instead... but believe me...these days are history now ;-)

In my last post I asked you all what you're doing with your self made cards.. if you're hoarding them, if you're giving them away or if you're selling them somehow. So much fun to read all of your answers... I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's having a hard time giving them away.. hehe!!!! ;-)
