Most people around me are wondering why I'm never creating any card sets... or cards that look a little bit similar..according to them that would make me create my cards so much faster. Until now I've never wanted to create the same things over and over again.... always wanted my cards to be different. But since I've been card lifting myself more and more lately.. I told myself: WHY NOT???
Soooo... I gave it a try..and this is how my cards turned out.. Challenged myself again to use another background color instead of white all the time.. so a BIG YAY again for myself.. haha (papers by Upsy Daisy Designs, one side is pink.. the other side is blue.. awesome!)
Dutchies: these silver colored letters are from Zeeman, bought them a little while ago.. they're so much fun to use!!
As you can see I've used kind of the same design as for my 'Roos' card a few days ago.. only a little smaller... Didn't know scraplifting myself would be THAT fun..haha
The stars are handcut (I've a lot of templates laying on my scrappy desk.. so easy to use since I don't own a die cutting machine). I've distressed the borders of my cards with some white ink to give it kind of a 'vintage' look.
And here's the complete set (I call them my twins..haha).
Ok.. now I need to challenge myself to send out more of my hand made cards instead of hoarding them in my scraproom.. haha... So, what do YOU do with your handmade cards??
Thanks for stopping by!

Another girly card..
Never can't have enough baby cards in stock.. that's for sure!!! Since there are so many babies born around me these days.. I decided to refill my stash of baby cards a little bit... ;-)
Again lots of layers... some faux stitching with my sewing machine... some embossing polka dots... and My Mind's Eye paper!! All from my stash of scraps!!! The huge pink glittery letters where hidden somewhere in my drawers as well.. couldn't resist pimpin' these up a little bit with some jewels, some floss and sequins before adhering them to my card...
Once again I've been using one of my Martha Steward punches to add a scalopped strip to the lower part of my card... And somehow I always have to add a few Prima flowers to my creations to give it a finished look (happily I've been collecting these bottles of flowers for a few years.. so lots of colors to choose from.. haha)
Thank you so much for your sweet comments and tips about the broken pen of my Circle Cutter in my last post!! You truly made my day!!!
BTW.. did you see the amazing things (and detailed tutorials) that my sweet friend Revlie is creating???.. Totally drooooling over all bright colors!!! Don't forget to check out her awesome ETSY shop too.. lots of yummie things in there....and so much inspiration!!
I hope you're enjoying your weekend until so far (hopefully with lots of ME-time to create some gorgeous things..hehe)
Happy Scrappin' everybody!!

Baby girl card....'Roos'
Last week one of my sweet colleagues gave birth to a baby girl named 'Roos'. Of course I had to create a little girly card for her (which is on its way to her right now).
Again lots of layers here... love to work with 3d foam tape.. and of course the Cuttlebug Embossing folders are a perfect touch as well!
I've been working with some old Making Memories papers here.. still can't get enough of these colorful goodies!! I scraplifted myself a little bit by looking back at another baby card I created for another colleague a little while ago. So happy to have found some black mini Thickers during our last US trip... they're such a perfect touch here..
Oh... and I'm soooo sad... I broke the pen of my Orbis Circle cutter!!! This is already the 2nd one that broke (my sweet friend Janice gave me hers while visiting her back in November, thanks again sweetie!!.. but this one didn't last long either..). As most of you know I just CANNOT live without this tool!!!! I'm so so sad!!! Really have to take some time to look around on the internet to see if these are still available somewhere.... :-(
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day today!!

A few weeks ago I found out that My Mind's Eye is hosting fun challenges on their blog. Soooo this week I decided to play along with Anam Stubbington's card sketch for My Mind's Eye challenge #20.. so much fun!!!
For this card I've been using some real old My Mind's Eye goodies... so happy I've my HUGE collection of scraps here (I call it my treasure box.. there's always something fun to find in there..haha).

Some glitter and a touch of bling everywhere... I'm not sure if it's visible.. but I even embossed the MME transparency with cute little hearts... Always wanted to try that.. and it worked out pretty well.. big YAY for me ;-)
You can still play along too if you want.. deadline is February 17th!
Thanks for your visit ;-)

Thinking of you...
I know it's been over a week since I've updated my blog.. so sorry about that!!! Buuuut.. I'm back with a bunch of 'fresh' cards!!! I've been playing with some scraps again this weekend.. finally some ME time.. something I was longing for soooo much!!
These old We R Memory Keepers papers where hidden on the bottom of my box of scraps... I was soooo happy when I saw these bright and fun papers popping up in there!!! I'm definitely looking forward to Spring.. I'm totally done with Winter.... I need warm weather.. and some sun please.. ;-) These fun colors really make me think of warm weather.. something I really need right now.. haha!
I know the basics of all of my cards are almost the same.. just can't help using the same things over and over again..although I really would love to challenge myself to use some other things for once... and dig into my stash to find all kinds of 'treasures' ;-). Sometimes I don't even remember buying some goodies.. haha.. I did challenge myself to use blue cardstock instead of white cardstock... and it worked out pretty well huh? ;-)
I'll be back with some more cards soon!!! Have a great Sunday everybody!! Thanks for stopping by!!

I decided to emboss half of the patterned paper instead of the whole piece..and I used my Martha Steward punch for the lower border. I found out that adding some glitter to my Puffy Paint gives such a fun effect too!!!
Gotta run.. will be back soon.. I promiss!!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Quick & Simple...
Sometimes I really have to challenge myself to create something quick & simple.... I always want to add so many details to my creations (sometimes a little TOO much..I know.. haha)...
Soooo for this card I grabbed some small pieces of patterned paper (old Junkitz papers) and a few embellishments... and voila.. my card was finished... really QUICK & SIMPLE ;-) I really love to work with bright colors... so I had to step outside my comfort zone a little bit here... buuuut I guess I'm kinda happy how this card turned out.. hehe...
Oh...this weekend I found out that one of my cards was featured on the Scrapbook Trends/Cards Blog, I'm so excited to see my little card popping up overthere..such a big surprise *blushing*.
Thanks again for stopping by!!!

CPS #200
It's been waaaaayyyy too loooooong since I've played along with some fun challenges posted on the different challenge blogs. Sooo.. this week I decided to give it a try... I started with sketch #200 posted at the CPS blog.
And this is the sketch we had to work with for this challenge. I created a fun '50' card out of it, since some people around me will be turning 50 in a little while.. that way I'll have at least 1 card ready for them.. hehe..
Gotta run.... Bye bye for now ;-)

This is what I came up with... I worked with some really OLD Dreamstreet Papers and for this colorcombo I was totally inspired by this card created by my sweet friend Ingrid Danvers (ok.. I've added some extra yellow to it.. but you know what I mean right? haha) (Since It's dark outside by the time I get home from work I haven't been able to take a good pic of this card.. hope it's clear enough ;-))
