Twinkle twinkle little star....

Yup... another card with a little star.. sorry ;-)

I've been digging up these old My Mind's Eye papers somewhere at the bottom of my scraps box.  So happy I kept all of these little pieces of paper over 5(!) years ago.. hehe...

Again I layered the 2 stars with 3d foam tape and added glitters to the borders of the small star. I've been hooked on using thread on my cards as well... so I wrapped some thread around the smallest star...

Love love love my sewing machine (without thread), my Cuttlebug embossing folders, my Martha Steward punch and my Puffy Paint.. can't live without these fun tools!! And of course I had to add a little bling to give it a finished look as well ;-)

I've been working on some other cards (from sketches) these past days. Having so much fun creating again! WOOHOO!!

More flowers, jewels & puffy paint!

I'm so happy to be back in blogland again!! Thank you so much for your sweet comments and for the inspiration on all of your blogs!!!!! For now I'm working a lot on cards (to use up my scraps) but I'm planning to start working on layouts too again soon.

For this card I've been playing with some old Glitz papers which I've been layering several times on the card.. As you can see I've been using mostly patterned paper on this card.. and only a few embellishments...

I'm not really satisfies with this card.. somehow I 'miss' something.. don't know what.... I'm sure having fun playing with scraps again... and I sooooo love my Martha Steward punch!!!

Mini cards

I'm always looking around for cute mini cards to add to presents or flowers (yup.. most of the time I just BUY these instead of making them.....). Since I'm having lots of leftover cardstock pieces, I decided to create some personal mini-cards out of this for my stash...... (and believe me.. my cards stash is HUGE... sometimes I just don't know what to do with these anymore.. hehe... I do try to send them out once in a while.. but the rest is sitting in my drawer.. such a pitty)

Sooooo.....I started with this little one... totally made out of small strips of leftover patterned paper (Creative Imaginations).....
Added a Prima flower, a jewel, a cardstock circle and some puffy paint.... and voila!
I think orange is going to be my 2nd favorite color besides pink.. haha... I find myself using this color more and more these past months!!!

Happy Birthday card

For this little Happy Birthday card I've used some more REAL OLD scraps.... still having that big pile of scraps on my table... so before using my new stuff I'm challenging myself to use as many scraps as I can.. hehe.. Yup.. a great resolution for 2011 huh??

Anyways.. I started off with a plain white cardstock card here.... and added some pieces of patterned paper, flowers and other embellishments... (the big brad in the center of the flower has been altered with some jewels)
To give it a finished look I added some more Puffy Paint dots and I used my sewing machine without thread to finish the borders of the card...

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New year to all of my blog readers!! Wishing you all a creative, healthy year filled with love and happiness!!! Yup.. another year passed by in a blink of an eye.... can't believe it's already 2011!!! Time sure is flying by too fast!!!

Buuuttt.. on another note... I had some more ME-time these past days.... which resulted in some more cards!!! I'll start working on layouts again soon.. but for now I've challenged myself to use some very old scraps for my cards.. and until now it's working really well.. ;-)

This cards turned out kinda simple.. but it was so much fun to make! Totally love this color combo! The white dots on the orange star are made with Puffy Paint.. yup.. still addicted to it.. so happy I bought a stash in the US a few years ago!!
I've added some white glitter to the borders of the white star and wrapped some thread around it to be able to attach my safety pin. Both stars are layered with 3d foam tape between them.

Hooked!!!

..... to stars and flowers that is..... Just can't get enough of these shapes at the moment... sorry about that ;-) I'll try to think outside of the box soon.. I promiss...

I hope you all had a great Xmas and that Santa brought you lots and lots of goodies. Unfortunately no Xmas in France @ my Grandma's house for me this year.. due to the snow we couldn't hit to road to go there last week.. so I ended up staying at home :-(

Buuuut.. staying at home meant: lots of ME-time!!! I started off with this baby-girl card (with some really really old Upsy Daisy papers)...
Some more details..... used my Cuttlebug polka dot embossing folder again...(and Dutchies: the silver letters are from Zeeman... they're so fun to use!)
And ended up creating a baby-boy one as well (since I trned over the pink Upsy Daisy papers and found out that the other side was blue!!). I know it's kinda similar as the baby-girl one.. But for this one I really had to step outside my comfy zone.. using blue is normally so NOT me.. hehe...but I guess I do like how it turned out..
Yup.. and more Puffy Paint, jewels and stars too.... :-) I hand cut the stars and used my circle cutter for the circle ring.
Right now I'm working on a new little step by step workshop.. hope to be able to post it overhere soon!!!

Winter wonderland...

.... yup that's how it looks like right now in my back yard..... It's been snowing a LOT these past days in The Netherlands.. and it definitely looks gorgeous outside!

I've been playing with some more scraps lately and created this card out of it.... not too happy how it turned out.. but hey....I do love the colors and all little details.. hehe..

Flowers, jewels & puffy paint ;-)

Somehow I always end up using the same element on my creations.. don't know why.. but it feels goooooood... hehehe.. Flowers, jewels and Puffy Paint are magical words in my scrappy-world.. haha!!!

Started off with a flower-shaped card made out of white cardstock here.. and added a few circle layers (with 3d tape) from Luxe Design scraps...
To give it a finishing touch I threw some flowers, jewels, puffy paint and staples onto my card.... I had planned to cut a circle out of the middle circle but it ended up at the right side of the circle.... but despite I had something else in mind.. it happily worked out pretty well.. hehe...
It's been snowing again last night.. brrrr.. I'd better stay inside the whole day today I think (since I'm having the day off).. :-)

It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas....

This definitely is the bussiest time of the year.. pffeewww... buuuutt... I FINALLY found some ME-time today to create a few little cards! YAY!!!

Couldn't resist playing with some Bella Blvd scraps that have been laying on my desk forever... hehe...I decided to create a Xmas card out of it (yup.. trying to think outside of the box a bit.. hehe)...
Just can't get enough of these fun shaped cards (which I've cut by hand BTW).
Yesterday I decided it was time to put up our Xmas tree (since I won't have time for it in the upcoming week or so)... totally love this cozy time of year. On top of that it has been snowing the whole day yesterday... yup.. it's beginning to look a lot like Xmas overhere!!!

Playing with some more scraps...

Having so much fun making these little cards again!!! I've challenged myself to finish up some of my scraps.. (I've PILES of these in my scraproom.. yup..time to get rid of these.. hehe..).

Sooo that's what I've been doing here.. and this is what I came up with ;-). I've created the (embossed) butterfly with my Cuttlebug, added some glitters to the borders of it and some pearls to finish it.
I had some 'old' little circle rings lying around which totally matched the papers.. YAY! Couldn't resist using some more Prima flowers and jewels here as well.. sorry.. ;-)
