A little layout

So sorry it took me such a long time to update my blog!!!! Thank you so much for all your sweet words and comments on my post!!! I'll make my blog-round this weekend.. that's for sure.. I soooo miss reading all of your blogs too!!!

Life is still kinda hectic right now.. buuuut.. I finished my Christmas gift shopping today! So happy about that!! I hope everbody will like the things I've chosen for them.. hehe.. (otherwise they can give the presents back.. so I can keep them for myself.. whahaha).

Remember I told you guys about my pubs in Scrapbook Magazine?? Well, the magazine came out a couple of weeks ago.... so now I can show you my creations!! I'll start with one and post the other one in my next post. The article that Revlie wrote was all about colors! So cool! For me the color RED means 'love & passion'. And here's the layout that I came up with (BTW.. IRL everything is straight... hehe).
I'll end up with wishing you all lots of fun with all the Christmas preparations (I sure had fun wrapping all the presents.. hehe..)! I'll be back soon with another layout and hopefully some more 'fresh' creations.. hehe..

Hectic...

Wooww.. life can be so hectic sometimes!!! Not only because of the Holidays coming up within a week.. but I've been so busy the last couple of days that I didn't managed to update my blog or do anything else scraprelated!!!

It all started on Thursday night when I got a phone call from my parents (they were in the US for a 4-week vacation). My dad told me that my mom got really sick overthere and wasn't able to fly that day! They had to cancel their flight! We were so bummed! My parens wanted to go back so badly.. not only to be at home again after 4 weeks.. but also to see their grandchild for the first time! To make a long story short: we ended up with my French niece (who was there with them) the whole weekend!! She had to come back and leave my parents there. Happily my mom started feeling better after a shot they gave her at the hospital..and they finally arrived at home yesterday! Such a big relieve!! They were able to visit my little niece today (I haven't talked to them yet.. but I bet they must have been so happy about that)!!!

We also visited my little niece on Saturday..

My cutiepatootie with Demi in his arms.. hehe..
BTW.. I'm going to extend the deadline for my little challenge from my previous post until January 1st!! I bet everybody is so busy around this time of the year!!!

I'll end this post with a card that I've created a little while ago. I've used some Elsie papers here!
I promiss to update my blog more often from now on.. hehe.. Thanks again for stopping by and have fun with all the Christmas preparations!!!

Another little workshop.. and a challenge!

Hey there everybody!! I can reveal my secret with you all!! Lookie HERE!! I'm so honored to have been interviewed by Creapassions! An awesome French website! WOOHOO!!!

I've done a little workshop last weekend at the birthday crop at Scrap4life!!! And of course I want to share it with you all here on my blog too!!!

I hope you're not getting tired of my workshops.. hehe.. but I would love to challenge YOU to create a card following this workshop and post it on your blog or somewhere else and add a link to your card in the comments section of this post at latest on Sunday December 23!!! I have a cute RAK here ready for you.. I'll pick one random winner on Monday December 24! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!! (i've used a cute sketch from Pencillines for this card)

Needed: Piece of white cardstock in any size you want (distress the borders with ink or chalk), another piece of white cardstock, 1 large piece of patterned paper, 2 circle rings in 2 different sizes, 3 handcut stars in 3 different sizes made from patterned paper, a piece of floss, 1 safety pin, 1 stickpin, Jewels, Rubons, staples, Puffy Paint (or another kind of 3d paint), 3d foam tape, if possible a sewing machine to stitch without thread on the borders of the cardstock and patterned paper.

Get the white cardstock in front of you and fold it in half:

Cover the card with the large piece of patterned paper and sew on the borders without thread, distress the borders with ink/chalk:
Take the other piece of cardstock in front of you and use your corner rounder for 2 corners (as shown), distress the borders with ink/chalk and adhere the piece of cardstock on the left part of the card (as shown):

Add the 2 circles to the card (as shown). Of course you can use as many circles as you want here!!!:
Take one of the handcut stars in front of you. Wrap the floss around it and add the safety pin and the stickpin to it. Distress the borders of both of the stars with ink or chalk:
Add 3d foam tape to the back of the 3 handcut stars:
Adhere the stars to the card:
Add the rubon to the middle of the smallest circle and add 2 jewels to the dots on the I’s. Add 2 staples to the left part of the circles:
Give it a finished look by adding dots on the smallest circle and one of the stars.
YOUR CARD IS FINISHED NOW!

HAPPY scrappin' everybody!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Only 8 workingdays and I'll be off from work for more than a week!!!! Just can't wait!! I'm soooooo counting down the days.. hehe.. It wasn't too clear for us where we would spend Christmas this year.. normally we spend the days with my family all together in France.. but this year we'll be separated. My sister won't be able to travel such a long time with my niece.... so we'll stay at home with them..and my parents will visit my grandparents in France... It's a perfect solution.. but it makes me a little sad too... I love to have my family around me during those days!!!

I did manage to scrap a lot this past weekend! Pascal was away the whole Saturday.. so looooots of ME-time!!!! I've created this layout with pictures from our US 2007 trip (so happy to be able to play with these!!). I've used American Crafts patterned papers here!!!
And of course I had to do something with the scraps of these papers too!!!! I turned them out into this little Happy Birthday Card. As you can see I've decided to fold this card differently.. that way the card opens in the middle!!!!
Oh..and I've visited my little niece again yesterday! She's doing so well!! No crying at all, she gained weight again..and she's soooo cute (and I'm not saying this because she's part of my family.. hehehehe). This is my favorite picture that I took of her:
And another little one because I couldn't choose which one to put on my blog.. hehe..
Ok, I'm gonna make myself a nice cup of hot tea to warm up a little bit... (somehow I'm sooooo cold during the nights.. even with my blanket, my laptop and 2 doggies on my lap.. whaha)

Have a great day and thanks for your sweet sweet comments!!!!

Auntie Nancy!!!

I think I told you guys about the little card that I've created for my sister and her boyfriend for Demi's birth... I was in such a hurry that day that I totally forgot to take a pic of it.. so I finally took a pic this week!!! As you can see I've used the same design as the card from my little workshop!!! (can't get enough of that design.. hehe..)BTW.. don't forget to check out this fun Birthday Crop at Scrap4life this upcoming weekend!!!! So much fun!!!! I'll do a little card-workshop there!!!Did you decorate your house for Chrismas already?? We've planned to put up our tree tonight.. but it depends if Pascal is feeling good enough.. ~*~HELLO~*~

The weekend went by waaaaay to fast... not because of fun things I had to do.. but because of the flu!! I started feeling this way the night that my little niece was born... and since then I started feeling worse every day!! So this weekend it all came out.. I felt terrible!!! Oh well, I hope that things will go better as from today.. hehe.. (the weather is terrible too overhere.. so this doesn't help too much either.. hehe..)

As promissed in my previous post I can show you the 2 Christmas cards that I've created for CreativeXpress last month!! I've used Scenic Route papers on both cards!!! (and I've used my Cricut machine for the title!)

Tomorrow I'll be visiting my little niece again!!! So excited! I took half a day off to spend some time with my sister and her.. I hope the weather won't be too grey so I'll be able to take some 'fresh' pictures of her (I don't want to point my camera with my flash in her face the whole time... hehe..).

Oh and I have another little secret which I'll be able to reveal on December 13!!!

Ok, gotta go.. we're having dinner in a couple of minutes (Risotto.. yum yum). Thanks again for stopping by.. I'll make my blog round asap too!!!! Just loooove to read all of your blogs!!!

XOXO
Nancy
