A little layout

Thanks again for all your sweet comments about my little niece.. I'm still such a proud aunt! I never had thought that such a little baby could change my life so much!! I'm totally in love with her!! I've spent a couple of hours at my sister her house again yesterday! It's so hard for her that my parents aren't at home at the moment.. so I'm trying to do my utmost to help her with some things and to be here for her in this special time of her life.

And it's a gooooood day today!! I'm allowed to show my CreativeXpress creations from last month! WOOHOOO!!! I'll start with my my layout and I'll show my 2 Christmas cards in my next post!!! For this layout our DesignTeam was challenged to create a Holiday layout by using the Cuttlebug, the Cricut and ProvoCraft patterned papers!
Anyways, we're finally having a quiet weekend.... I've been so busy this past week since my niece was born. I'll have to scrap scrap scrap tomorrow as I need to finish some assignments for Scrap4life!!

BTW.. we're having 3 doggies at the moment! I totally forgot to tell you guys!! Since my parents are on vacation we're taking care of their doggie Tommie! Our 2 doggies are so happy about that.. they're real buddies!!!! Aww..look at him..
Enjoy your weekend! And thanks again for stopping by!!! I'll be around more in the upcoming days.. I promiss!!!!

My little niece and a sneak peek

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my previous post about all the exciting things that are happening in my life right now!!

I'm so proud to be an auntie now!!! Still can't believe it that my little sister (she's 5 years younger than I am) had a baby!!! She gave birth to Demi in only 5 hours! Everything went great! She had to stay in the hospital for one night. Directly after she was born my sister gave me a phone call asking me if I could come to the hospital to meet my little niece! So we stepped in the car at 2AM to drive to the hospital (about 30 mins away from us)!! My sister looked great!! And Demi is such a cute little girl!!!!
Buuut..there is a biiig bummer.... my parents are on vacation in the US at the moment and will only be back in 3 weeks!! They were so sad that they had to miss all this.. especially those 3 first weeks of Demi her life!! Normally they would have been back on time.. as my sister was only due on December 14th!!
Yesterday I've spent almost the whole day at my sisters house.. I had planned to go there for a little hour.. but there were so many things I could help them with.. so I did some grocery shopping and stuff like that!! Before she left my mom had made a cute basked with some little bags with candies in it for the visitors and I created some cute little tags to go with it.
As you can see my life has been a little busy since Saturday.. hehe.. I did create a card for my sister.. but I was in such a hurry that I've sent it out before I took a picture of it.. hehe..

Sooo.. I'll end with a little sneak peek of a layout that I've created for CreativeXpress.
I'll be back asap with some fresh creations!!

Another little workshop (and challenge)

I hope you're all having a great weekend!!!!!

As promissed.. I've been working on a new little workshop for you all!! As Christmas will be here in a blink of an eye, I decided to do a Christmas card!!!!

Just like for my first workshop, I'd like to challenge you all to create a little card with this workshop and post it on your blog or somewhere else!! Don't forget to post a link to your card in the comments section of this post at latest on Saturday November 17th. I'll have my BF to pick a random winner for a little something on Sunday!!!

Needed: Piece of white cardstock in any size you want (distress the borders with ink or chalk), 5 strips of patterned paper (1 large one, 2 smaller ones and 2 tiny ones), 2 handcut stars made from patterned paper, a piece of floss, 1 safety pin, 1 stickpin, 1 little tag, 6 jewels, staples, Puffy Paint (or another kind of 3d paint), 3d foam tape, a hole puncher (or eyelet setter), if possible a sewing machine to stitch without thread on the borders of the cardstock.

Take the 2 handcut stars in front of you. Wrap the floss around one of the stars and add the safety pin with the tag and the stickpin to it. Distress the borders of both of the stars with ink or chalk.

- Take the 2 smaller strips of patterned paper in front of you and create a row of holes along the border of the paper by using a hole puncher (or eyelet setter).
- Tear the holes open to create a 'notepaper' look (just like it was just torn out of your notebook!), and distress the border and holes with ink/chalk. (I got this fun idea from Peggy!!)

Layer the strips of patterned paper and glue them to the middle of the card by starting with the smaller strips with holes, then add the biggest strip to it and end with the tiny strips on top of it. (distress all the edges of the strips if you like)

Add the 2 stars to the card (as shown)

Add the jewels to the upper right and the lower left part of the card (as shown). I added an extra jewel to the little tag, just to give it a finished look.

- Add little dots of puffy paint (or 3d paint) around the borders of the 2 stars
- Add 2 staples to the lower right part of the card.

YOUR CARD IS FINISHED NOW!
I really hope my explanation makes any sense.. hehe.. I'm aware of the fact that my English isn't 100%...hehe... So if you have any questions left.. just contact me!!!!

We're having dinner in a couple of mins.. so gotta go for now!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.. Have fun with the workshop.. just can't wait to see what you all come up with! Last time was so much fun!!!!

2 little cards

Can't believe it's already Friday! This week really flew by! I've been so busy with all kinds of things. at work and at home... and somehow I've kinda lost my scrappin' mojo at the moment! I haven't scrapped a single thing in about 1,5 week now!!

We're not having any plans for this upcoming weekend.. we just rented some movies, the weather will be really bad so we'll probably stay at home a lot the next 2 days!!! It's nice and cozy inside now.. we're having some candles burning.. So relaxing!!!

As promissed in my previous post, I'll show you 2 little cards that I've created for Scrap4life last week. Our DT was challenged to use fall colors.. so that's what I did.. I really had to step outside my box for this.. as normally there has to be PINK on my creations somehow.. hehe.. Not too happy how they turned out.. oh well, cannot change it anymore.. hehe..

I don't think I told you guys yet that I'll be attending to a cool Scrap In Style TV (SIStv) crop next weekend!! So excited to meet all girls IRL!!!! We're gonna have so much fun!!! I bought some yummie French cakes last weekend to take with me overthere.. yum yum!!!

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my previous post.. I'll work on a new little workshop this weekend.. hope to be able to post it asap!!! So don't forget to check it out!!!

Wishing you all a great weekend!!! Happy Scrappin'!

*~*HELLO*~*

Our 'normal' working life has started again.. hehe.. Our day off yesterday was perfect.. I managed to do all the laundry (yup.. still my favorite thing.. whahaha.. NOT), so I was totally relaxed when I arrived at the office today.. (buuut.. when I went home I was all stressed out again.. whahahaha.. I need more days off that's for sure!! Happily it will be Xmas soon.. our company will be closed for about 1,5 weeks.. so that's perfect.. hehe..)

Remember I showed you all a sneak peek of a layout that I had created for Scrap4life a little while ago??? Well, our newsletter went out today.. so that means I'm allowed to show my creations!! Woohoo!! I'll start with the layout and I'll show you the cards that I've created later this week. We had to create a 'thankful' layout. So when I saw this picture I knew I had to use it for this assignment.. I'm so thankful to have this beautiful picture and to still have my grandparents in my life!!!
A lot of you girls (uhm.. and guys) are curious what my fun news is that I'm keeping for myself already for a little while now.. I still cannot tell you the exact details.. but I can give you a little hint: I'll be teaching some classes in 2008!!! So excited about that, I never did this before so I'm a little nervous too..but I still have a couple of months to prepare myself for this huge step in my life.. ..hehe..! As soon as I'm allowed to tell you more I will.. I promiss.. hehe..

I'm in the mood to do another little card workshop like the other day (you can find it HERE).. so I'll probably try to prepare one somewhere this week.. so be on the look out for that.. hehe..

Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks again for stopping by at my blog!!!!

I'm baaaacckkkk!!!

Hey there!! I'm back from my trip to France! It felt so good to see my grandparents again after such a long time..and they looked so good too (94 and 89 years old.. sometimes I really forget that they are THAT old already.. hehe..)!!! They love to talk about the past so much.. and on my turn I love to listen to all those amazing stories. Too bad we had to go home this morning!!! Hopefully we'll be able to visit them again around Christmas!

Here are some pics of the last couple of days (the weather was really really grey.. so most of the pics turned out so dark.. such a pitty)

My little grandpa!!!
The 2 of us in my grandparents their garden
My cutiepatootie at the parc in Nancy (we did some shopping in the city and spent some time at the parc.. so much fun!)
My mom (yup.. she was there too to help my grandparents a little bit), me and my grandma just before leaving this morning.
We'll have another day off tomorrow! So happy about that as we're so tired of the long trip today! We don't have anything planned yet.. so that might mean 'scrapbooking' for me.. hehe..

I'll leave you with an older layout that I've created for Dreamstreetpapers back in April.
I'm off to do some laundry (my favorite thing.. whahaha.. NOT!). I'll try to update asap with some 'fresh' creations and some fun news!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Off to France!!!

Yup.. we're almost off to France to spend a couple of days with my grandparents! So excited about that (but to be honest I'm not too excited about the long ride.. hehe..). I've heard that the weather isn't too bad overthere right now.. so hopefully we'll be able to spend some time outside to take some pics!! I won't have internet access there.. so I'll update again as soon as I get back on Sunday.

This week I got the opportunity to be a guest designer for Pencil Lines! I had so much fun working with the sketch!!! Don't forget to check out the Pencil Lines blog and sketch to win a RAK. You'll also be able to see what the rest of the girls created! So much inspiration (in fact, the whole blog is!!) Thanks girls for this awesome opportunity!!

So, here's what I came up with:
I got tagged the other day by Marije (thanks girl!!) for the "You make me smile award". I really have no idea who to tag at the moment as you ALL make me smile with your sweet comments and awesome blogs..... so considder yourself tagged if you want to.. hehe...
Besides that I've been playing with some Creative Imaginations scraps!! Look (sorry for the bad picture)!!
Ok, gotta run.. still need to prepare a couple of things for our trip (including some goooood CD's to listen to during our long ride..hehe).

I'll be back on Sunday!! Thanks again for all your sweet sweet comments!!!! Enjoy your weekend!

XOXO
