Playing with scraps...

I've been playing with some Dreamstreet scraps from the layout from my previous post... It's so much fun to use up these leftovers this way!!!! What are you doing with your scraps??

The way of folding this card was 100% inspired again by Jennifer McGuire.

My sweet and talented friend Hetty Hall gave me this award (thank you so much sweetie!)

The Rules are : 1. The winner may put the logo on their blog. 2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award. 3. Nominate 5 blogs. 4. Put links to their blogs. 5. Leave a message for your nominees. So I would like to nominate Ingrid, Dawn, Sherry, Roree and Lisette to say thank you for your friendship and inspiration over and over again.

I haven't been feeling well at all this week.. I'm having the flu biiiig time (including fever)... I even had to stay at home from work today......ugh.. just hate that.. I don't have energy to do anything.. I guess I'd better have some vitamines to get my energy back.. hehe..

Ok, that's it for now.. Happy Friday!!

Dreamstreet Papers...

Just can't get enough of these yummie and bright Dreamsteet papers! What about you???

I've been playing with these papers for months now..and I just couldn't resist using it for another layout with some pictures from our trip to France back in August. So happy how the page turned out.... these colors are so ME!!! Hehe... The glittery chipboard letters are by K&Company.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on the mini album from my previous post. My sister and her BF are so happy with it too, and I hope Demi will think of me with a big smile on her face while looking through the book when she's older.

Happy scrappin'!!

Mini album and a birthday party

Ooww.. our weekend has been so much fun!! Yesterday my little niece Demi celebrated her first birthday!!! We totally spoiled her with all kinds of presents.

I also got her a pair of these cute Shoesme shoes:

Here's a little impression of the day:

Then I finally was able to give my sister the mini album that I've created for Demi... I've created a page for each month, I added a collage with pictures from that month, and some info on what she had learned and done during that month. Again I was 100% inspired by an album that Jennifer McGuire has created for her son. I decided to keep it really simple by using only cardstock and the embossing templates from my Cuttlebug. That way the information and pictures stand out really good. BTW.. everything is straight IRL.. don't know what my photo editing program is doing with my pictures!! Sooo.. here I go.. some of the pages that I've created:

Here's the front again:

This is the 1st page of the album:

Her 6th month:

Her 8th month:

Her 11th month:

I've been creating some fun things today which I'll share with you in the course of this week!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by again!!!

Stars...

Besides using flowers on my projects I'm totally addicted to stars as well..... sooo.. that's what I've been using on those 2 little cards.

I've created this card with some KI Memories (Love, Elsie) scraps.. as you can see I've added some 3d foam tape to the back of the star to give it a 3d look.

And this card has been pubbed in the previous issue of Cards Only Magazine, just a simple birthday card created with some yummie WeRMemorykeepers papers. I love to wrap some floss around my stars as well, this makes it so easy to attach some cute embellies to it.

I hope you're enjoying your week until so far! Only 1 day to go and it will be weekend again!!! YAY!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Our weekend getaway with my family was awesome.. it had been such a long time since we spent some time together... The weather wasn't too bad.. so on Saturday we even went out for a little walk around a lake, we went swimming and bowling, we had a yummie dinner at the little cottage and the most fun thing: my little niece Demi was there too!!! She's such a cutie (and yup.. I fell even more in love with her.. haha) Sooo.. here's a little impression of our weekend:

Monochromatic colors...

I'm having a fun weekend coming up.. Since my mom turned 60 last month we arranged a weekend get away in a cottage at Landal Stroombroek for the whole family. My sister and my little niece Demi are coming along as well.. YEAH!! (sooo.. be on the look out for a looooot of pictures next week.. haha). I just heard on the news that the weather won't be too good.. so that means time enough to play with Demi and chat with my family.. just can't wait!

Since the newest issue of Cards Only magazine came out this week I'm able to show you some of my cards from the previous issue... I wrote an article about working with monochromatic colors and these are 2 of the 6 cards from the article... I definitely had a lot of fun playing with these colorful goodies! Here's the first one created with some Scenic Route and Sassafras scraps....

And the 2nd one created with Doodlebug goodies..

I'm not forgetting about the tag from my previous post, I'm in a hurry now since I have to prepare our stuff for the weekend... so I'll do that next week.

Have a great weekend!!!

Together is the best place to be.....

I've been working with some more scraps.. YEAH! It feels soooo good to get rid of all the 'old' stuff this way (but I'll probably need another 10 years to be able to use all of my scraps.. haha)

The scraps (Dreamstreet Papers) of this card came from the layout in THIS post. Totally love this colorcombo (yup.. another addiction.. hehe..)

For folding my card this way I was 100% inspired by Jennifer McGuire (she even did a little video about it!).

I'm heading out for bed now... I'm exhausted... buuuut.. be on the look out for some fun news here on my blog in a few days!!!!!

Oh..and I've also been tagged by Birgit (thanks girl), I'll do that in my next post.

Thanks for stopping by, wishing you all a great week!!
