Pretty princess.. and a crop night

This months SPOTLIGHT item for the wijDUS blog is...... BLING! If there's something the wijDUS girls are totally addicted to it’s blingbling looots of bling.. ha! Or better known as HOTFIX or rhinestones. Behind the scenes we've send hundreds of emails back and forth about this subject and not too long ago we ordered a bulk of these yummy blingies together (which is also a lot cheaper..hehe).

Here's my layout with blingies everywhere (I've even adhered them to my brads.. and it's so much fun to layer them!!)... Pictures: my little niece Demi.

And here's a better look at it..
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzil, Patterned paper: Heidi Swapp, Bling: Hotfix, Heidi Swapp, Doodlebug & unknown, Flowers: Prima, Brads & Sequins: Queen&Co, Chipboard: American Crafts, Buttons: unknown, Sticker: My Little Yellow Bicycle, Floss: DMC, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Other: bracket, 3d paint, sewing machine, stickpins, ink.

Then on Friday I've had a fun crop night together with Peggy and Revlie. Unfortunately time went by waaaay too fast... and since we had so much to chat about we didn't do too much scrapbooking (what's new.. ha!). Thanks again for the fun girls!!!

That's it for today!! Have a great week!!!

WijDUS sketch of the month

It's the 15th of the month.. time for our Sketch of the Month at the wijDUS blog!!!

We've chosen to work with this awesome sketch by our own Peggy.
Here's my take on the challenge.. totally loved working with this sketch...it's so versatile.. you can use it to inspire you.. but you can also flip it upside down..

A better look at it...

There are so many possibilities for this sketch. You can even use it to create cards.. so that's what I did also (sorry for the bad pictures.. the weather is so grey overhere at the moment)!!!

Another better look at it...
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzil, Patterned paper: Heidi Grace (layout), American Crafts (card), Jewels: Doodlebug & unknown, Buttons: Autumn Leaves, Rubons: Melissa Frances & Heidi Grace, Floss: DMC, Flowers & snowflakes; Making Memories, Chipboard: American Crafts, Other: Cuttlebug embossing folders, Circle Cutter, Staples, 3d paint, white marker, sewing machine.

More Buzz & Bloom...

It's weekend again.. yaaaaaayyyy!!! We've no real plans these upcoming days so I hope to have some ME-time again... YAY!!!

The Buzz and Bloom DT has been challenged to do something with our 2009 resolutions... I always set up resolutions in the beginning of the year.. but somehow I never manage to do anything with them... This year I decided that my only goal would be to take better care of my handmade cards (easy huh?..hehe). I used to pile them up in my drawer.. so they were getting dusty and they were easily damaged...

Sooo.. I came up with an idea to create a box especially for my cards... (This box also would be such a fun gift for someone.. so I might end up giving it away.. hehe..) I started with a blank cardstock box which I've covered with all kinds of patterned paper.

Here's a closer look, you can see that I've used the negative pieces of the CB Lava Lamp Chipboard shapes which I've painted white with acrylic paint, then I've covered the pieces with glitter and I added a little jewel to each of the pieces as well.

I've started decorating the top of the box with a CB Lava Lamp chipboard shape which I've painted white with acrylic paint. Then I've covered the whole shape with white glitter. The next step was adding some paper flowers with the hearts of the MIR Love & Kisses: XOX on top of it.

I've used the CB ABC: Urban Alphabet for the title on the box. The chipboard letters are painted black with acrylic paint and then covered with diamond glaze to give it a shiny look.

With this box I'm sure I'll take better care of my handmade cards, and it will definitely be a fun present to give away sometimes... (be sure to check out what the other DT girlies came up with on the Buzz and Bloom BLOG)

Thanks for stopping by.. and don't forget to come back on Sunday to see my newest layout for the wijDUS blog!!! (BTW.. you still have time to play along with our latest challenge!)

It's weeeeeeeekend!!

Yeah..another week passed by... it's weeeeeeekend! YAY!!! I've had the day off today so I spent loooots of time in my scraproom.. I'm working on some assignments for Buzz and Bloom..and I decided to play along again with Caardvarks latest challenge!!!! I'll show you my card asap!!

Since it has been rainy and grey the whole day.. really too dark to take good pictures.. I'll leave you with a card that has been pubbed in Cards Only Magazine:

This card is created with My Mind's Eye papers.. I've adhered some jewels on the clear button.

This week I've been tagged by my sweet friend Laura (thanks girl).. just couldn't resist playing along.. hehe.. It's such a fun tag!!!! It's "Photo" Tagging!

RULES
Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

I was a little nervous while browsing through my pictures! You never know what kind of embarrassing picture might pop up huh?? haha!!!

Sooo.. here I go... My 6th folder happens to be one with pictures that I've scanned not too long ago.. so real OLD pictures.. haha.. The 6th picture in the folder was taken during my 5th birthday back in 1983. Yup.. the little girlie with the piggy tales in the middle of the group is me.. haha!!

On my turn I'd like to tag: Peggy, Dawn, Janice, Kimberly, Hetty and Birgit.

Happy Scrappin' girls (and uhm... boys.. hehe)

Buzz and Bloom

Yeah.. I'm still alive.. hehe.. just being really really busy at the moment.. so not too much me-time unfortunately...

Buuutt.. this week Buzz and Bloom started introducing the new 2009 designteam on their blog! We've all been asked to create a layout to introduce ourself..and besides that we were able to play with some awesome Buzz and Bloom goodies!!! I decided to pick one of my favorite colorcombo's as well.

Here's a closer look...

Just can't get enough of these fun mirror shapes. In this case I've used the cute MIR Love & Kisses: XOX and I've wrapped some floss with a flower sequin around the shape. Then I've added a fun stickpin through the floss to give it a finished look.

And what about this cute birdie!! I fell totally in love with these acrylic shapes. I decided to pimp this white ACR Totally Too Tweet - Large birdie up a little bit. I've added a rhinestone to her eye..and with Diamond Glaze I've covered the wings with glitter.

I've created my title by using the CB ABC - Urban Alphabet (mini). I started with the blank chipboard shapes, then I've pained them all black with some Acrylic paint. The next step was adding some shiny Diamond Glaze to the letters and I've added some pink jewels to the Diamond Glaze as well.

Hey... and don't forget to check out this new awesome challenge blog (which we've started with a group of scrapbooking friends)!! We'll be posting challenges twice a month (including our own takes on it) and we'll randomly give away a fun price for each challenge! Just can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!! Sooo.. what are you waiting for... check out our BLOG!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.. I promiss to make a blog-round again soon.. I'm missing reading all of your blogs so much!!!
