Brown, orange, green....

Yup.. these are the colors that I've been playing with for this little card... no pink this time.. hehehehe...

As you can see I just can't get enough of shaped cards at the moment.. the basic here is a round card on which I've added a huge flower (with embossed polka dots) and a circle with 3d foam tape underneath it to make it stand out a little bit.

Here are some more details... lots of Puffy Paint here also, and some Prima flowers, jewels, a clear button and stickpins too ;-)

I'm still thinking about a fun new step by step workshop.. hope to be able to share it as soon as I can!!!

A girly invitation....

A few weeks ago my sister asked me to create some invitations for my little nieces 3rd birthday (yup.. little Demi will be turning 3 already next month!!!). Since Demi is really into princesses and stuff like that at the moment, I immediately came up with the idea to create a 'crown' card..... soooo.. that's exactely what I did....

I drew a crown on a piece of cardstock, which I've cut out and used as basic for the card. Then I started layering the crown with some patterned paper and some other goodies. I wanted the '3' to stand out a little bit.. so I've used some 3d foam tape underneath the circle...

Here are some more details... still can't get enough of my glitters, Cuttlebug embossing folders, flowers and puffy paint.. hehe...

Some of you have been wondering how my little nieces (Demi and Fay) are doing....

Sooo.. here's a recent picture of the girlies...

They're really growing up too fast.. hehe...

Sophie..

About 2 weeks ago, one of my sweet colleagues gave birth to a little girl named Sophie. Of course I jus HAD to make her a little PINK card..

Soooo....I dugged into my pile of scraps to find some fun pink goodies... I ended up using some silver Thickers, my Cuttlebug embossing folder, a Martha Stewart border punch, some thread, a button and safety pin and last but not least.....lots of glitter and Puffy Paint (and a lot more).. hehe..
And as usually.... here are some more details...

Unfortunately I'm not getting the colors right on my pics.. the pink color is actually slightly different than what you see on your screen.... Oh well.. ;-)

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all had a great weekend... My weekend has been busy... really really busy.. I even had to work on Sunday for a biiiig running sponsor event "Running4Cancer" which I'm organizing for my company for the 3rd year in a row. It's been a lot of work.. but soooo worth it!!!! We raised a lot of $$ for KIKA (a Dutch fund for children with cancer) ... I'm so proud!!!

Playing with scraps has been so much fun last week! I also created this simple card... not too happy with the result... but I do like the colors... hehe...

And some more details... can you see that I love my Cuttlebug??.. especially the embossing polka dot folder..hehe..

Yay.. it's weeeeeekend!!

First of all: a big thank you to all of you for your sweet welcome back messages.... It feels soooo good to be back in blogland after such a long time!

I'm trying to challenge myself to use some other colors than PINK... So..while looking through my pile of scraps I found some orange papers to work with..... and this is what I came up with... a little 'star' card with all kinds of goodies.. and everything ORANGE....


Some more little details.. It feels sooo good to have found back my puffy paint and sewing machine too.... hehe...

Yay! Still got it ;-)

It's been quite a while since I've updated my blog (I know.. bad bad blogger.. haha)... Lots of people are still wondering how I'm doing, why I've dissapeared and.... if I'm still crafting... soooo.. here's a little update.. with hopefully a lot more to come :-)

First of all.. I'm doing fine.. just too busy with all kinds of things... besides that I had totally lost my scrappy mojo for MONTHS!! Buuuut.. last weekend I've found some time to sit down and create... I ended up with 4 cards!! So happy about that... this feels soooo good!! Woohoo!!

I started with a little colorful 'flower' card. I had these Junkitz scraps (my favorite colors) laying in my desk for about a year now.. so it was definitely time to use these thingies.. hehe.. I even found my Cuttlebug back under a pile of dust for some fun embossing..haha... Anyways.. here's the first card I came up with....
